Canadian artist Vladimir Kolosov (b. 1962) is known as a colourist and for his ability to create works that make the viewer to think. He uses various media and during different periods worked in different styles developing the philosophy that is behind each of his artwork. His artwork is a space where different elements live and interact to each other. There is an environment, energy, movement, relationships, and feelings. Colours play one of the key roles in his art. Thus, the elements interactions expressing through colours as contradictions and contrasts in composition in his works. Vladimir Kolosov’s artworks set an example for many aspiring artists that are looking to get into the world of painting. His journey started with simple classical techniques and over time, evolved into its own inspirational style. Combining meticulously perfected techniques gained from experience, and a high-profile artistic education with a non-linear approach to each work, Vladimir’s works set the viewers mind free to dive deep into the interpretive world of his paintings and ponder on a variety of subjects. Vladimir’s multiverse artistry and scientific knowledge help establish the bridge between the artist’s conscious representation in the form of the artwork and of the subconscious emotions that are evoked within the viewer. This exhibition is dedicated to the artist 60’s anniversary and over 45 years in visual arts. The closing reception is scheduled for Saturday August 20th, 1: 00pm – 3:00pm. Exhibition is open daily from 11:00am to 5:00pm, Mondays – closed.
