About the artist: From the suburban sprawl of Thornhill to the bars of downtown Toronto, it was a journey cross-country that led Jesse Waldman to mountains, ocean, and Vancouver’s Commercial Drive. Now his home of twenty years, the West Coast inspires his lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding technique.

Influenced by Townes Van Zandt and JJ Cale, Jesse has performed at major festivals including Burnaby Blues and Roots, Vancouver Folk Festival, and Jazz Fest, and toured the Western US and the UK.

Waldman’s debut album, Mansion Full of Ghosts, explores a city and the need to keep a light on in the dark.

About the venue: The Queen’s Park Farm is a casual outdoor venue in beautiful Queen’s Park, New Westminster. Hand washing, social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols will be in place.

At the Arts Council of New Westminster, we live and work on the unceded, traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the QayQayt (qiqéyt) Nation as well as all Coast Salish Nations
