Media Release: The ARTSNW Podcast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ARTSNW, the podcast. A first listen to the art beat of the city.
THE ARTSNW PODCAST HIGHLIGHTS MAKERS AND MOVERS IN THE ROYAL CITY

November, 15 2019 (New Westminster, BC) —

Host Joel Mackenzie (Mainland- a BC History Podcast) dives into the vibrant arts scene on the Fraser River with the debut season of The Arts Council of New Westminster’s ARTSNW Podcast. Join Joel and a who’s who of New Westminster artists, composers, writers, makers, and arbiters as they explore how art is conceived, created, and consumed in today’s culture. Each episode includes onsite interviews in the spaces where our guests work, where Joel encourages them to examine how art effects their perception of the world and their own internal artistic practices. By physically anchoring the artist and their art in the places where they create, an unusual level of intimacy and insight is offered the audience. Find the podcast at http://artsnw.buzzsprout.com.

Brought to you by the Arts Council of New Westminster with the support of 100 Braid St Studios, the City of New Westminster and the BC Arts Council, the podcast gives insight into the way art influences our lives here in the Lower Mainland and the impact of local art on the national and international stage.

The ARTSNW podcast is recorded in the unceded, traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the QayQayt (qiqéyt) Nation as well as all Coast Salish Nations.
