J. Price, and Lane Price, Soli hopes to continue to explore all styles of

| The Royal City Concert Band has a colourful
history in New Westminster. The musical ability of this 50 member ensemble
ranges from college level to professional musicians. The Musical Director
is Earl Hobson, a well known musician-educator. The band has made recent
successful tours within B.C. (Official band at Williams Lake Stampede ’02
and ’04) and regularly participates in community events throughout the
lower mainland (Hyack Parade and Tall Ships, Richmond). The band welcomes
new members and practices Thursday evenings from 7:45 – 9:45 pm in the
music room at Glenbrook Middle School. The main requirement to become a
member is to love making music. The Royal City Concert Band performs two
major concerts a year and continues its successful summer series of
concerts at Westminster Quay on July Thursday evenings. |
